The Earth Angel Mine began around 1929 as miners searched for gold, silver and copper.  Some of these can still be found in a few places in the mine.  About 25 years later people began to discover relief from there arthritis and various other disorders.  In 1953 Earth Angel was opened as a health mine.  Since then people has been coming from all over the world for its health benefits.

Health mines such as the Earth Angel exist in few places other than Boulder and Basin Montana.  There are several European regions where they have been widely accepted and recommended by both governments and the medical communities since the late 1880's

Radon gas is colorless, odorless and tasteless.  It is a result of the natural decaying of radium.  This same element is present in some spring water, soil, and rocks.  Exposure to the levels of the radon gas present in the mine encourage and increase the function of the endocrine system, which results in the increased production of the natural hormones and steroids helping the body better healing itself.

A person should go into the mine for 1 hour at a time and out for 2 to 3 hours.  You want to do this 3 to 4 times a day until you do 30 hours.  Your stay is anywhere from 7 to 10 days.  You want to relax between mine visits and drink plenty of the mine water, which helps cleanse the body by natural processes.

The entrance to the mine is easily accessible with parking on the same level and is wheelchair friendly.  The walkway in the mine exceeds 600 feet.  There are both "wet" and "dry" areas with seating according to your preference.  The mine temperature stays around 55 degrees F. all year long.  Lap blankets are provided or some for sale at the office.
